the color of a film is half of the story

Start with your color grading today. With the Film Emulation concept, you don't need years of experience to color grade your film project. Film Emulation is the pro solution, though easy to use.

In Adobe Premiere the process to apply the preset is as follows: 1. Make sure you have video sequence in your timeline that you want to color grade. 2. In the top menu select "Window" and then choose "Lumetri Color". With this option selected a new window will open. 3. In the window choose the "Creative" option and in the "Look" drop-down menu you can navigate to the Film Emulation LUT file and select your favorite .cube file or LUT. Now your video is graded with the Film Emulation color look-up table.

For all Final Cut Pro users color grading with LUTs became a lot more easy with the latest FCPX update. In Final Cut make sure, that the video you want to edit is in the timeline. From the effects selection select the pre-installed effect "Custom LUT". Drag the effect on the video in your timeline. Then click on the video to highlight it. In the top right video menu the effect "Custom LUT" will appear. With this set, you can make the LUT selection in the "LUT" drop-down menu a choose "Choose Custom LUT...". The final step is to select the .cube/ LUT- file you want to apply. With the selection done, your video is then graded with the LUT.
