LET'S START WITH LUTs
WITH WHICH PROGRAM DO YOU WANT TO INSTALL THE LUT PACK?

INSTALLATION WITH FINAL CUT PRO X
1. Store the Film Emualtion LUT folder
For best practice: Put the Film Emulation LUT folder in the destination Macintosh HD > Users > YOURNAME > Movies
2. Open the application Final Cut Pro X
Open your project in Final Cut Pro X and put a video in the timeline, that you want to grade with Film Emulation
3. Go to the effects section in Final Cut Pro X
1. In the effects section of Final Cut X, select the pre-installed effect "Custom LUT" and drag it onto your video in the timeline
2. Click on the video in the timeline, that it's highlighted
3. In the top right video menu, the effect "Custom LUT" appears now
4. Now, you can make the LUT selection with the LUT drop-down menu
Click the option "Choose Custom LUT"
5. Navigate to the destination, you put the Film Emulation LUT file and select a LUT (.cube file) in the folder. Your video is now graded with the LUT
6. For minor color and brightness changes apply the pre-installed Apple effect "Color Board". Set these basic color and brightness settings to get the best result

INSTALLATION WITH ADOBE PREMIERE
1. Store the Film Emualtion LUT folder
For best practice: Put the Film Emulation LUT folder in a fixed destination and don't move the folder later
2. Open the application Adobe Premiere
Open your project in Premiere and put a video in the timeline, that you want to grade with Film Emulation
3. Lumetri Color
1. In the top bar menu select "Window" and then choose "Lumetri Color". With this option selected a new window will open.
2. In the window choose the "Creative" option
3. Select the "Look" drop-down menu and navigate to the Film Emulation LUT folder
4. Select your favorite .cube file or LUT
5. Your video is graded with the Film Emulation color look-up table now
5. For the best result, you can make some basic brightness or warm/ cold color adjustments in Premiere
